Working in the packhouse as a grader or packer you will be grading suitable fruit, checking for defects or packing apples and pears into cartons or display trays. You must have good eyesight and be able to work well in a team environment.

Stacking is just that, stacking the cartons or display trays onto pallets according to their size. You will need to be physically fit and healthy for this job as some of the cartons can weigh up to 22kg.
You may be required to work in other areas in the packhouse at times as needs arise.

Once the fruit is picked it arrives at the packhouse to be packed ready for export. We need a number of staff in the two roles listed below.

Packhouse staff are paid an hourly rate and rewarded for good, consistent work.
We do not have onsite accommodation for packhouse staff but there are camp grounds and chalets in nearby Mapua.
